In July 2022, we documented the child labor culture in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria, with a key focus on the Majidun Community. With this project, we raised funds to send five children from low-income households back to school through The Streets to Class Initiative.
In the course of our pre-production research, we encountered two standout boys, aged 16 and 14, living in an unfinished church. They worked various menial jobs to survive. Through our partnership with The Destiny Trust Foundation, we were able to secure scholarships and a housing arrangement for these boys, the main beneficiaries of our initiative.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Sterling One Foundation, we launched a fundraiser to support underprivileged children’s education for the coming years…
